Thus, if you have received the quotation, here are ways to pay the quotation and get connected with electricity.
KPLC gives you enough time to pay for the quotation because it is valid for 90 days from when they send it to you.
You are within that time to pay the quotation either through one of the following modes of payment.
If the 90 days are over without making the payment, you’ll have to request another quotation.
How to pay KPLC quotation via Mpesa
KPLC allows you to pay the quotation through a mobile money service provider like Mpesa.
Mpesa is the leading mobile money service provider in Kenya.
Therefore you can use Mpesa to pay the quotation by following these steps;
- Open your mobile phone’s app
- select the SIM toolkit app
- Launch the app
- Select Mpesa
- From the menu list, select Lipa na mpesa
- Select pay bill
- Enter KPLC pay bill, which is 888 888
- Go to your M-Pesa menu
- Enter the account number specified in the quotation
- Enter the amount required to pay
- Enter your Mpesa PIN
- Confirm the details you entered are correct
- Click Ok.
Within minutes you’ll receive a text from Mpesa confirming the transaction, and another one from KPLC confirming you have made payment.
How to pay Kenya Power quotation via Airtel Money
Airtel is another mobile money service provider in Kenya, and if you have an airtel money account, you can use it to pay for the quotation. Below are steps to follow and make the payment.
- Open your mobile phone’s apps.
- Select SIM toolkit app
- Select Airtel Money
- From the menu, select Make Payments
- Choose Playbill option
- Enter KPLC pay bill, which is 888 888
- Enter the amount of money required to pay
- Enter your Airtel Money PIN
- On the reference option, enter the account required to make the deposit
- Verify the details you entered are correct
After a few minutes, you’ll receive a confirmation message detailing your transaction from Airtel money and another from KPLC confirming the payment.
Pay Cash Payment
The other option is to pay the postpaid bill in cash. The cash payment should be made at the KPLC Payment office. After making the payment, you should be issued a receipt to confirm you have made the payment.
