How to apply for KPLC token meter
You ought to apply for a token meter, and the application is made in person by visiting the nearest KPLC offices spread around the country. You’ll be required to fill a token meter application form. Remember to carry all the necessary documents.
Kenya Power site visit
After your application is granted, Kenya Power personnel will come to your location to conduct a site inspection to ensure that you meet their criteria. They will also estimate the entire cost of the installation that you will be needed to pay. This stage will be completed within eight days of the receipt of your application.
Payment of the estimate

Installation
External work will begin after payment and will be finished within the time frame they provide you. They will place a prepaid meter on your gage box and provide you with a Customer Interface Unit to enter the token top-up code.
